Individualized Representation At
Every Step In the Visa Process
An NVS attorney will prepare and file all documents from the initial
application forms through evidentiary support papers, including
preparation of your investment and business plan. Your attorney and
NVS will complete all information required for the petition application for you.
After submitting the initial petition application, your attorney will
follow up with the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) until you
have been granted your visa number, thereby assuring you and your
qualifying family members status as a potential United States resident. Your
attorney will then prepare you for your interview with the INS and accompany you to
the interview wherever you currently reside. Whether you have your
interview at the Overseas Consular Office in the country where you
currently reside or at the offices of the INS in the United States,
your attorney will be with you. You will generally receive your
visa approval at the interview.
After your entry into the United States, NVS will maintain a complete
file in preparation for your transition from conditional permanent
resident to permanent resident. Your attorney will complete all
applications and represent you should there be any subsequent immigration
interviews.
- The initial visa is for permanent residence, but is conditional and must be renewed after two years. Your NVS representative will be there to make sure it is renewed.
- When the two years are over, NVS will assist you by filing a request with INS to remove the condition. Once removed, a permanent green card is issued.
- You may then apply for citizenship or simply maintain permanent residency.
- A green card does not require you to forfeit any rights of citizenship in your native country and does not restrict travel in and out of the U.S.
